For sightseeing, there are cultural and historical places such as Shiroyama Park, Gake-no-Kannon, Daifuku-ji, and Joraku-zan Mantoku-ji temple & Reclining Buddha , and, in summer, swimming and other water sports and activities are popular. In fruit cultivating areas, there are farms such as Tateyama Strawberry Picking Center where visitors can try strawberry picking from January to early May. Also, if you are interested in flowers, please come in the spring. Nanohana (rape blossoms) will be at their best and you can enjoy the scenic fields of yellow flowers. We also recommend Shirahama Flower Park, where you can enjoy plants throughout the year.
It is convenient to have a car for getting around this area. If coming by train, please take the Uchibo line. From central Tokyo, it takes about 3 hours by car.
