Hokuto is an area located in the northwestern part of Yamanashi prefecture. It includes the cities of Hokuto, Kai, and Nirasaki.
This is a beautiful natural area where you can enjoy majestic mountain scenery so it is popular among many mountain climbers. For sightseeing, we recommend places where you can appreciate Yamanashi’s stunning nature like Kobuchizawa Art Village, Hakushu Forest of Ojira, "VERGA", and Yamanashi Prefectural Makiba Park. Also, since this area is known for its clean, pure water, there are beverage and food factories open to visitors such as Suntory Hakushu Distillery / Hakushu Suntory Natural Water Plant and Chateraise Hakushu Factory.
