Hakusan is a region located in the southeastern part of Ishikawa prefecture. It includes the city of Hakusan.
Mount Haku, along with Mount Fuji and Mount Tate, has been chosen as one of the three most famous mountains in Japan and people have enjoyed its familiar scenery since long ago. In this area blessed with Mount Haku, there are plenty of sightseeing spots where you can enjoy the natural scenery, such as Fukube Falls, Ubagataki Falls, and Watagataki Falls.
It is convenient to have a car for getting around this area. From major cities, Hakusan is accessible by bullet or conventional train and from Komatsu Airport, the nearest, you can take a car or conventional railway. If you come from Tokyo by plane and car, it takes about 2 hours and if you take the bullet and conventional train it takes about 3 hours.
